As a native Michigander, my family relocated back to Michigan in 2018 from Okinawa, Japan. My husband of over 20 years, retired from the Marines and we began the next chapter in Northern Michigan. We have two daughters, who are by far our greatest accomplishment. Our oldest is an active-duty Marine, our youngest is in high school. Last and certainly not least, our family is made complete by our 130-pound lapdog named Kane.
Since starting my internship, I have discovered that my varied life experiences have equipped me to walk with people who are dealing with an array of concerns. These concerns span from depression & anxiety, religious & spiritual issues, trauma & PTSD, marriage & family difficulties, and beyond.
While these concerns have a significant impact on daily life, I believe that we have the ability to overcome the obstacles that are limiting us from living our best lives. I employ person-centered counseling, CBT, and solution-focused therapy techniques with my clients. As a student I am continually learning and adding an eclectic approach to help me meet my clients where they are. This will allow me to begin walking the journey with them towards hope and healing.
